Introduction

Replacing a half shaft requires some care and specific tools.

  1. 
Loosen the 6 fixing screws of the axle end sliding joint;
    • Loosen the 6 fixing screws of the axle end sliding joint;

    • Loosen the 6 screws securing the tulip's Slip Joint and remove the axle shaft from the vehicle.

  2. 
Fit the Slip Joint into the gearshift tulip; fit the hood flange and the fixing plates. Put the screws in;
    • Fit the Slip Joint into the gearshift tulip; fit the hood flange and the fixing plates. Put the screws in;

    • Fit the other Slip Joint onto the axle shaft; fit the hood flange and the fixing plates. Put the screws in;

    • Apply 40 Nm of torque to the 6 Sliding Joint fixing screws;

  3. 
Under no circumstances should you attempt any repair or maintenance for which you have not been trained or if you do not have the tools and equipment to repair it.

    • Always wear the proper safety glasses when performing any type of maintenance. Failure to wear safety glasses could result in injury and/or partial or complete loss of vision.

    • Always be careful when working with products that have sharp edges.

Conclusion

Avoid damage and premature wear, after installing the Half-shaft, check the vehicle's geometry.
