With the vehicle resting on the ground, loosen the axle shaft nut and wheel bolts; With the vehicle suspended, remove the wheel;

Loosen the pivot and tie rod end nuts; Using an extractor, remove the pivot and tie rod end;

Using a lever, force the tray down to disengage the pivot;

Pull the axle sleeve to release the Fixed Joint, if necessary, use a polyurethane hammer;

Release the Tulip clamp and pull out the axle shaft.

Using ring pliers, remove the lock and tripod;

Remove the hood;

Use solvent or degreaser to wash the tripod.

Clean the half shaft to avoid grease contamination.

Manually assemble the Hood;

Position the Tripod spline on the Half-shaft spline;

Place the lock;

Clean the Tulip and apply grease to the Tripod and the rest to the Tulip;

Fit the Tripod into the Tulip;

Place the end of the Fixed Joint into the Hub. Fit the axle sleeve to the pivot. Install the steering terminal;

Tighten the Pivot and Tie Rod End nuts.

Place the new axle nut, position the wheel and wheel bolts.

With the vehicle resting on the ground, tighten the wheel nuts.

To prevent accidental loosening, crimp the axle nut collar into the recess in the joint.

Under no circumstances should you attempt any repair or maintenance for which you have not been trained or if you do not have the tools and equipment to repair it.

Always wear the proper safety glasses when performing any type of maintenance. Failure to wear safety glasses could result in injury and/or partial or complete loss of vision.
